Hours: 12 hours per week
• Split over 2 or 3 days (either 6-hour or 4-hour shifts)
• Saturday essential – minimum of 4 hours

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Personal Assistant to support John, a 13-year-old with a learning disability, to enjoy full and active access to his local community.
This is a highly active, out and about role. Most support will take place outside the home, making the most of whatever the day brings.

What You’ll Be Doing
Support will focus on community access and shared activities, including:
• Going out to local shops
• Purchasing toys and DVDs
• Going for walks
• Visiting local attractions and places of interest
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and enjoyment while out and about
No two days are the same – this role suits someone energetic who enjoys being busy and engaged throughout the day.

About You
• Friendly, patient, and dependable
• Comfortable supporting a young person in the community
• Confident managing outings and transitions
• Driver preferred (ability to transport John to activities is highly beneficial)
• Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities is desirable, but not essential

An enhanced DBS check will be required, and suitable safeguarding awareness is essential due to John’s age.
