Description

Our teams of conservation volunteers go out four or five times a week to various locations around the area:

Mondays & Wednesdasy - South Wood in Ninfield, looking after the woods and meadow to improve biodiversity, remove invasive species, manage abandoned Chestnut coppicing, and create a better habitat for all the wildflowers, insects and birds.

Tuesdays - installing leaky dams in Mallydams Wood - a natural flood management project using local deadwood, logs and twigs to create dams that slow the flow of water to help protect flood risk hot spots downstream.

Thursdays - starting 4th June - Crowborough Green Gym - healthy horticulture in the wonderful grounds of The Horder Centre.

Fridays - various local sites including Woodland Trust woods, carrying out woodland management, pond resoration, invasive species removal and more.

No experience required, training and guidance provided. All tools and equipment provided.
