We are seeking a Tyre Technician/semi skilled motor mechanic to join our team. As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for performing tyre installations, repairs, and maintenance. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the use of power and hand tools. Responsibilities:
- Mounting, balancing, and installing tyres on various vehicles
- Conducting tyre repairs, including patching and plugging
- Rotating tyres to ensure even wear
- Inspecting tyres for damage or wear
- Assisting customers with tyre selection and providing recommendations
- Maintaining accurate records of tyre inventory
- Operating power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Tyre Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Semi skilled car mechanic preferred but not essential
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
