This position is for self employed drivers with their own vehicle and motor insurance. Applicants should have a cheerful, and caring personality, be reliable and with good punctuality.
As well as an hourly rate, we pay 45p per mile determined by a route planner.
The start times per round vary from 09:30 - 11:15 dependent on the location of the round driven.
Our shifts require drivers to work weekends, and or just weekdays but will be determined at interview.
Please note if you agree to work weekends, and later change your mind and only wish to work one of the day of the weekend, this will not be possible. Of course you can book days off by providing adequate notice in writing.
The return to depot is typically 14:30 for each round, but it may be possible to go straight home, depending where you live and which round you are working.
The role involves delivering a lunchtime meal to the elderly, and conducting a welfare check by engaging with our customers at the point of delivery. Any concerns are reported to our office, or to their next of kin, to ensure that they are safe and well in their home.
Our aim is to maintain the independence of our customers in their own home for as long as possible, we provide peace of mind for their families.
This is a rewarding role; our customers enjoy seeing our drivers, for some we may be the only people they see and speak to in their day. Over time you will build a rapport with your customers as you see them more frequently.
