"Orla" Grey Mare Project Horse

15.1 Connie X (Green ISH Passport) Dark Grey, 3 year old Mare ~ TREENAGHS SHADOW

Orla was bought from Ireland as a 2 year old in March as a summer project. Throughout the time I’ve owned her she has filled out and matured into a lovely little horse. She is so friendly, the first to come running to you in the field, and always loves cuddles. Orla was very unhandled when we first bought her however has took perfectly to everything we’ve asked of her and blossomed into a lovely little character. She is great to catch, good for the farrier (barefoot), loads perfectly, good to bath and will stand to be brushed all day.

Over the summer, we have long reined, backed and started her under saddle, which she has taken all in her stride perfectly! So quiet and trainable. She has been long reined and ridden around all the back fields out on hacks as well as in the arena. She stands perfectly at the box and isn’t nervous or skitty at all with a rider on- she’s more woah than go but not in a nappy way. We haven’t done loads of work in the arena with her due to her age however have established the basics- walked and trotted around fine and over poles. Orla has been in-front and behind on hacks and has walk, trotted and done a little canter.

Orla hasn’t done masses of ridden work, just lightly been worked and ridden away since being broke in. Therefore she is up for sale as a project to continue her eduction professionally - she has all the potential and I’m so sure she’ll turn into a lovely allrounder.

Orla isn’t mareish however can be defensive when she’s nervous around other horses, so will kick out if a horse she’s unsure of, runs up behind her.

No novices for Orla as she is still a young, green horse due to her age and I would love for her to go to a long term knowledgeable home. NO TIME WASTERS
