📍 West Yorkshire

After a few viewings, it’s become clear that Matilda’s very laid-back nature is an issue for some riders. She’s definitely more “woah than go” and won’t suit anyone looking for a forward or whizzy pony. Very reasonable offers considered for the right home.

Matilda could suit a suitable lead-rein or first-ridden home, or a petite adult looking for a safe pony to hack and enjoy at a quiet pace.

She is currently carrying some extra weight and is only being ridden around twice a week, as the girls’ interest has naturally moved on. She would benefit from regular work to improve her fitness, but even when fitter she remains the same safe, sensible pony.

She has happily hacked alone and in company, is sensible in traffic and open spaces, and enjoys pub rides and pottering about. She’ll pop a small jump, but isn’t a competitive Pony Club pony.

She’s kind and easy to handle: good to catch, load, tack up, groom, shoe and see the dentist. She loves a fuss, and the girls have helped with her day-to-day care.

Matilda is a very good doer, so her grazing will need to be managed. She comes with her tack and full wardrobe.

Finding her a knowledgeable, loving home remains the priority.
