"Barbara (Barbie)" Bay Mare Ex Racehorse

16.3hh, 8 year old, TB, Mare. Finished racing over hurdles sound in December where we got her straight from the track. Has had down time, put on condition and is now ready for a job - I sadly don’t have the time to do her retraining justice!

Lovely stamp of a mare and an incredibly sweet person, responsive and looks forward to seeing her human.

Good to catch, clip, load, travel etc. Good for the farrier although still getting used to hot shoeing.

Up to date with teeth, vaccs, chiro, saddle fitter & has had bridle/ bit fitter.

Due to work commitments and our hoard of other resident animals I’ve had hardly any time for poor Barbie. She has never been hot/ spicy when she’s been left but can become stressed when out of routine.

In the time she’s been with us, we’ve done some basic schooling. Very green but willing, lovely floaty paces.

Hacks out alone and in company, lacks confidence alone so needs hand holding.

A lovely blank canvas for someone to crack on with now.

Barbie requires a nose net during spring/ summer time due to pollen under saddle, completely unbothered on the ground otherwise.

Experienced and kind knowledgable home needed for this lovely mare! Professionally fitted tack & full wardrobe available separately.
