Wiltshire Horn cross sheep & Starter Flocks

Over 8 years we have been cross breeding Wiltshire horn sheep for low input management, close to organic, with little-no hard feed. Selected for easy outdoor lambing, good mothers, shedding coat, sound feet, hybrid vigour and to be better for a northern/hill climate than pure bred Wiltshire. Produce excellent quality grass fed hogget and mutton or cross breed for fat lambs/mules.

Genetics include Soay, Castle Milk Moorit, Blue Faced Leicester, Zwartable, and Cheviot. 50% Wiltshire.

2025 lambing percentage 183%, all lambed without any assistance.

Ewes can be matched with your preferences for horned/polled, white/moorit, long or short wool, and size. Starter flock of 5 ewes available now and a tup (for a £60 deposit we can also reserve a ram lamb of your preferred type for September collection). Our vet recommended selecting sheep that thrived on our land and the approach has worked really well for minimising time inputs. These sheep provide an opportunity to design the perfect low-input match for your fields. Individual ewes or tups also available from £70-£120.00 each
