VW (Volkswagen) T2 Campervan Air-Cooled Danbury Conversion 2006 for sale

Motorhome Marketplace are delighted to present this stunning 2006/55 Volkswagen T2c camper conversion by Danbury, with a 1.6 air-cooled petrol engine, producing a modest 50bhp and running through a 4-speed manual gearbox.

Affectionately known as Brazi-Bays, the VW T2C, continued to be built in Brazil long after German production ceased, in fact this model was produced until 2013. This camper is of particular significance as it was produced in the final year the air-cooled engine was ever used by VW, with all subsequent production using the 1.4 water-cooled engine from the VW Polo/Fox.

This would be a great buy for a collector/enthusiast, so it is fitting that it was imported from new by renowned converters Danbury, converted to RHD and fitted out in a traditional style, yet using the latest technologies such as heated windscreen, Webasto heater, top-loading fridge and 2-burner gas hob with grille. The units are all finished in a light wood, including the removeable table and there is an extending buddy seat behind the cab with storage below for a porta-loo.

It benefits from a traditional lift up pop-top, folding rear set to create a double bed with storage below, sleeps 2 and has 3 belted seats and 1 lap strap. There is a split charger, leisure battery, 240v connection, modern lighting and water container with electric pump. Sound comes from a Panasonic radio/CD and speaker set-up.

Having left Danbury early in 2006 finished in yellow, it was acquired by the current owner in 2015 and in 2018 was treated to a full body repaint and Waxoil by Southwest Splitz of Exeter in this gorgeous Blood Orange. It has since been used sparingly and dry stored, preserving the van in the remarkable condition we find it in today with just 39,625 miles.

There is an almost complete service history, MOT until 01/10/2026 and will come with with 12-months Autogard warranty, for added peace of mind.
