This is a 201k Vintage Singer sewing machine, The Singer 201 series of full size sewing machines were produced mainly in the USA and the UK, although smaller numbers were also made in some other factories as well. The Class 201 were first introduced in 1934 and continued in production up until 1961. It was the Singer Manufacturing Company's finest domestic sewing machine. One of the finest sewing machines ever made, the Singer 201K is built for durability and precision. With an all-metal construction and robust steel gears, this machine is designed to last a lifetime. Comes with wooden case but handle is missing. It is working but I know nothing about tension etc and the foot pedal doesn’t stop when your foot is raised. The Singer company tell me it is a capacitor problem easily replaced in the foot control for £2.99. Please see all photos. I also have an M43 Singer sewing machine, in a carrying case and with an instruction booklet. Both are VERY heavy so collection only. £50 for the 2 of them.
