Location: Shepperton, Surrey
Pay: £14.80 per hour
Hours: Up to 18 hours per week, including a regular Tuesday morning shift

This is a rewarding role offering a varied schedule, providing support both in the home and community while enabling valuable respite for the family. Hours may vary from week to week depending on appointments and support requirements, with a regular commitment on Tuesday mornings.

About the Role
-
The successful applicant will support a young person to access activities in the community, engage in meaningful interests and build confidence and independence. Support will also be provided at home to encourage participation in enjoyable activities while allowing family members some respite.
A key part of the role will include:
• Supporting transport to and from a day programme on Tuesday mornings
• Providing local transport and support for activities and outings
• Encouraging participation in community-based activities
• Supporting engagement in meaningful activities at home
• Building a positive and supportive relationship
• Promoting independence, wellbeing and social inclusion
There may also be opportunities for occasional evening support and, in the future, potential overnight support for the right candidate.

Experience and Skills

Essential:
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs
• Understanding of neurodivergent individuals
• Ability to support community access and social activities
• Full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
Desirable:
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches
• Mental health awareness
• Experience supporting young people with complex emotional needs
