I ride him myself, but he much prefers plodding around lanes and tracks than doing anything that requires any kind of effort. I have had numerous children on him (some of which have never ridden before) and he has proven himself to be a lovely starter pony for a new rider, or a rider looking for a stepping stone pony to get their riding career started.
I am offering him for part loan to a young rider who wants time in the saddle and to be able to look after a pony like their own. All rides will be supervised and guided by myself, so parental horse knowledge is not necessary. I can offer lead rein hacks and arena exercises in predominantly walk with some trotting if desired. We have lovely hacking routes which vary from 40 minutes - 2 hours. I can also offer stable management guidance - how to groom, tack up, untack and care for a pony.
If desired, I am happy to take him to little competitions in any discipline too.
PLEASE NOTE: he is being offered as a lead rein novice pony ONLY. He does not misbehave off the lead rein, a young rider just wouldn't be able to get him to move and it doesn't take him long to form the bad habit of just not going anywhere!
If your child has been begging for a pony, this is a great way to test their dedication!
Small financial contribution required which can be discussed. No chores necessary.
Weight limit of 7 stone, height limit of 5ft5.
