Science Technician

(2x part-time roles)

Single Status Grade 3/4 £25,614 — £26,247 per annum (pro rata)

Part-time / Permanent / 19.5 hours or 18 hours per week/39 weeks per year (paid for 45.05 weeks per year to include holiday entitlement)

Role 1: Tues, Wed, Fri (9.00am - 3:30pm, 19.5 hours) - Actual pro rata salary is £11,662 — £11,951 per annum

Role 2: Mon, Wed, Fri (9.30am - 3:30pm, 18 hours) - Actual pro rata salary is £10,765 — £11,031 per annum

We are seeking to appoint two Science Technicians.

The appointed person will be enthusiastic, flexible, and have a pro-active approach to tasks in the classroom, they will be required to support teaching staff and provide admin support where needed.

The post will involve general preparation for practical lessons; post holders are expected to work alongside Science teachers as well as independently. The successful candidate will show initiative, with good communication and IT skills. The successful candidate will become part of a team that supports the growth and development of a highly achieving school. Some Technician experience would be favourable, which would be reflected in the salary scale offered.
