Recruitment South East are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a stunning private school located on the outskirts of Rye, East Sussex, who are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to join their team.

Main Responsibilities
Daily transport of pupils to and from school as directed by the Bursar
Carrying out daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks prior to departure
Using the Vectare transport App to record pupils boarding and disembarking
Maintaining good order and cleanliness of the vehicle and reporting any defects via the App
Ensuring compliance with the school’s Minibus Policy
Supporting with any additional driving duties as reasonably requested by the Bursar or Headmaster
General Responsibilities
Carry out all duties in accordance with:
Current Health & Safety legislation
The school’s safeguarding and child protection policies
Adhere to all school policies and procedures relevant to the role
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all school, staff and pupil information
Candidate Requirements
Hold a current clean UK driving licence with D or D1 entitlement
Be aged 21 or over and have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of two years
Hold a MiDAS qualification (or equivalent), or be willing to undertake the training
Be willing to complete a vehicle familiarisation and assessment drive with an experienced driver
Hours
The hours of work are 6:15am - 8:45am and 3.45pm - 6pm, Monday to Friday (Tuesday 4.45pm – 7pm)
The salary for this post is £16,055 and includes 5.6 weeks pro-rata holiday pay. It is based on an hourly rate of £15.90
