I have taken the time to program this radio with local Amateur repeaters and all the Amateur simplex channels both VHF & UHF plus PMR channels. all this for £30 and you still have lots memories to add your own channels or frequencies this radio is a heavy-duty rugged piece of equipment. But it does look like it would take some abuse, the build quality is very good built to last
It has the Special firmware Update: versions v2.13A that enable "Open TX" and expands the Air Band to 137 MHz
Programming
The RT-470X is compatible with standard Baofeng-style (Kenwood K-type) programming cables. Users can download the official programming software from the Radtel Download Center to manage channels and settings on a PC
