Pure Polyester TP-601 (97:3) – HAA Powder Coating Resin

Pure Polyester TP-601 (97:3) is a saturated, carboxylated polyester resin developed for Primid/HAA-cured powder coating formulations. It is designed for slow-curing systems requiring excellent outdoor durability and weather resistance.

TP-601 (97:3) can be dry blended with a suitable HAA curing component such as YC9550 and is suitable for producing super-weather-resistant powder coatings.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store the resin indoors in the original, unopened and undamaged packaging in a dry location at temperatures below 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Shelf life: 1 year ex works under recommended storage conditions. Based on experience, the resin may remain stable for longer when properly stored, subject to appropriate quality inspection.

Processing Information

Typical extrusion conditions:

Equipment: Twin-screw extruder

Setting temperature: approximately 115°C

Speed: approximately 200 rpm

Typical application:

Corona spray gun

Voltage: 60 kV

Coating thickness: approximately 50 microns

Suitable for chromate-pretreated aluminium panels

Typical curing cycles:

180°C for approximately 10 minutes, or

200°C for approximately 10 minutes

Actual processing and curing conditions should be validated for the complete powder-coating formulation and application system.
