We are a small family-run research & engineering consultancy. We have one full-time engineer, one full-time IT / research person, a part-time administrator, a part-time sales / ecommerce person and we work with a number of freelance designers.
Our clients are mainly private individuals or small businesses who want to develop innovative technology. We first check for viability and then design and make prototypes. We then often assist with intellectual property protection. We also do low volume manufacturing for some clients and manage ecommerce. That involves creating a website, setting up on platforms such as Ebay, Etsy and Amazon, logos and packaging design.
We have a website and Facebook & TikTok pages. New clients mainly respond to our advert on Google Ads.
One thing we are not presently doing very much of is promoting the business through social media. So the main task will be to manage that and build it up.
A secondary aspect would be to contact leads by telephone. Our system sends out automatic chase ups but we do not presently follow up with phone calls. (Nb., no 'cold calling', these are people who have approached us but then have gone quiet ~ full training given).
Lastly, as colleagues here are mostly part time and have other commitments, there are times when some admin and other tasks will need to be covered.
Our procedures and methods are often updated or revised and thus a flexible approach is needed.

Full training given. One month trial period.
The role is expected to be 8-12 hours a week. £15 ph for the first month rising to £18ph after that (or £20 ph for work that can be billed for). Self-employed basis. Some bonuses possible.
Note -we are quite remote and public transport is unreliable. So you need your own vehicle and to be within a 20 minute drive.
