🐴 PART LOAN – 15.2hh Connemara Gelding – Iver
Looking for someone lovely to part loan my 15.2hh full green book Connemara gelding, Sunny.
Sunny is a genuine all-rounder – athletic, capable and super, super reliable under saddle. He has his known dislikes (classic Connie 🙄😂) and can absolutely have his stubborn moments, but in the 5 years I’ve owned him he has never, ever been dangerous – and believe me, I’ve tested him!
That said, he is absolutely not for a novice or nervous rider/handler. He needs someone confident, experienced and firm but fair, both on the ground and under saddle. He is a very clever Connemara and will not suffer fools – if he thinks he can take the mick, he probably will 😂. With someone confident who understands him, he is incredibly reliable and an absolute pleasure.
He had over a year off while I was pregnant and when I eventually got back on, after not being ridden for a year, I took him straight out for a hack in the dark and he didn’t bat an eyelid. That pretty much sums him up.
He’s low maintenance, easy to do and lives out 24/7, although he has a stable available if required. He’s kept on a DIY yard in Iver and lives happily in a little herd of four – a Shetland, Welsh, Irish Cob and Sunny.
On the ground he is a complete pet. He absolutely loves attention and affection and will love you as much as you love him. Once he respects you, he is the sweetest boy and genuinely loves having his person.
The only reason I’m looking for someone is that I now have two young children and, sadly, the horses are starting to feel more like a chore than the safe haven they’ve always been for me. I don't want to give Sunny up, so I'd love to find someone who can enjoy him and give him the time and attention he deserves.
On your Sunny days, I’d also need a little help with my Irish Cob – nothing strenuous, just the usual DIY yard jobs. He is incredibly sweet and super easy to do.
