I am reluctantly selling my Morris Minor Traveller, A charming and increasingly sought-after model, mine is called Betsy.
She was built in 1971, the last year they were made, she's good for her years! She starts, runs and drives as it should, offering the simple and enjoyable classic driving experience these cars are known for.
I bought her because it had a completely solid body shell and newish wood ( everything else I felt could be replaced!!) According to the previous owner it was subject to a body up rebuild (all welding done + new wood!!) by the famous Morris Minor Centre Bath a few years ago. This is a solid example with no rust, which is rare to find.
I have done a fair bit of work on her with my mechanic mate but want to move onto another project and need the space !!
New : Front Disc brake conversion and Servo ( needed in modern traffic!)
Master Brake cylinder and remote reservoir
Lovely leather BMW mini front seats on proper subframes (old seats were so uncomfortable !)
Front seat belts
Starter motor and solenoid, flywheel ring
Fuel pump
Rear light sockets
Clutch assembly and thrust bearing,
Water pump
Electric rad fan plus override switch
Valve springs
Engine mounts
Carb rebuild kit
Rad hoses
Carpets
Mini type spin on oil filter
Some oil plus filters
Newish : 3.9 Midget Diff ( as recommended and much nicer drive , gearing up 17%)
Fuel tank
Metal wings
Electronic Ignition
Traveller tow bar ready to fit ( very rare)
Manual and other rebuild books
No road tax, No MOT, ULEZ exempt , now that is cheap motoring !!
Look at pictures and see all the welding, it would be better if you could visit and have a look/ride .
Rear seats fell apart so stripped them out the back, i considered boarding it . I imagine as some 'rust bucket' Travellers retire there are plenty of rear seats about, or leave as a 2 seater.
I’m being honest paint work is tatty , could do with a respray.
A quirky little car - not a show car but an honest little car and very loveable!
