Lovely 16.1 Thoroughbred Gelding Full Loan

I am looking for the perfect person to take on a full loan of my much-loved Mighty for a fixed 12-month period whilst I’m away travelling. He is an 18-year-young, 16.1hh Thoroughbred gelding. This is a very difficult decision, so finding the right person is my absolute priority.

Mighty is a gentle, kind, and genuine horse with a lovely temperament. He has a heart of gold, always tries his hardest to please, and thrives on kind, consistent handling.

What he enjoys:

    •    Hacking: He is a pleasure to ride out, hacks alone or in company, and is never strong but can buck (rarely) when excited.

    •    Groundwork & Fun: He loves long lining and pole work.

    •    Schooling: While his schooling needs improvement, he is always willing to learn and gives everything a go. He would suit someone who enjoys bringing a horse on at his own pace.

On the ground:

Mighty is fantastic to shoe, clip, and have his teeth done. He is incredibly easy to manage and love.

Ideal Rider:

I am looking for a confident, lightweight rider with a kind, sympathetic approach. Someone who genuinely enjoys hacking, groundwork, and spending quality time building a bond—rather than someone wanting to compete—would be his perfect match.

Loan Details:

    •    Duration: Fixed 12-month contract.

    •    Location: Mighty must remain at his current yard in Alciston. We have amazing hacking.

    •    Financials: You’ll be responsible for his day to day financial costs. Happy to discuss this further as I’m willing to contribute a small amount towards his upkeep.

    •    Agreement: A formal loan agreement will be required to protect all parties.
