I am helping my friend reluctantly sell his wife’s car before they relocate to Romania.

My friend changed the engine oil every 5,000 miles, and that’s documented in the service records. He’s extremely meticulous when it comes to maintaining the car and always follows the recommended service schedule. In fact, this 5,000-mile oil change interval is what the Japanese maintenance schedule recommends.

He also replaced the auxiliary (small) battery about a year ago, and both the inverter water pump and the engine water pump were replaced around six months ago, again in line with the recommended maintenance schedule based on the vehicle’s mileage.

At 90,000 miles, the spark plugs were replaced with iridium spark plugs.
