...a now very scarce first edition 1980/81 fine art print by Robert Taylor entitled, 'The last moments of HMS Hood', which marked the 40th anniversary of her sinking. Good strong signature in pencil, of the late Lieut. Ted Briggs M.B.E., R.N., who was the last remaining survivor of HMS Hood's crew, following the ship's catastrophic sinking when Hood, and Prince of Wales engaged KM Bismarck, and KM Prinz Eugen in the battle of the Denmark Strait, on 24th May 1941. Mounted in a great looking brass frame, with non-reflective glass. Dimensions (including the frame) are: 22" across, by 16" in height.
