Main Duties
• Responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products ensuring that each piece meets the rigorous standards for craftsmanship, durability, and precision.
• To manufacture products in accordance with instructions detailed on works orders and approved drawings.
• Operate various industrial sewing machines (single, double and triple needle) such as overlock and flatbed machines to manufacture products.
• To work with a variety of materials and threads, using various sewing techniques such as lock stitching and hemming.
• Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring seams are secure, stitches are even, and overall craftsmanship meets company standards.
• Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organised and efficient workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines (single, double and triple needle) in a manufacturing or textile environment.
• Strong sewing skills with an eye for detail and quality control.
• Ability to understand works orders and drawings.
• Able to work with light to heavy materials.
Working Hours
• 39 hours per week.
• 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday.
• 8am to 1pm Friday.
• 15-minute paid morning tea break.
