FREE DELL QUAY DORY BOAT 11 FT 6 INCHES LONG AND TRAILER FOR RESTORATION OR UPCYCLING.

This fibreglass Dell Quay Dory boat hasn’t been used for around 15 years, during which time it has been stored outside together with its trailer.

As is to be expected, the boat is in poor condition and needs attention. It has a gash in the keel approximately 5.0 inches long and rainwater will have entered the space between the inner and outer skins of the boat – making it heavier than usual. (Please see accompanying photograph.)

The trailer has recently been fitted with two new tyres but its roadworthiness cannot be guaranteed.

Hence both the boat and accompanying trailer are being offered free as one lot to whoever wishes to remove them.

The boat would make a nice project for someone with the skills and time to bring it back to life and would be ideal for training apprentices. Alternatively the boat could be used as the basis for a garden pond, bog garden, or as a planter for growing vegetables, herbs, flowers, bulbs etc.

The boat is approximately 11 ft 6 inches long and approximately 5 ft 2 inches wide at its widest point. The trailer hitch is for a 2 inch ball.

We have good access with a wide wooden field gate adjacent to a gravel unadopted road where one can easily park a low loader or other vehicle for transportation.
