RBS elected not to repair the damage at the time, presumably due to parts shortages and many bodyshops being closed. The subsequent repair has been carried out to a very high standard – even knowing where to look, you cannot tell the car was ever damaged. Since then, it has passed six MOTs.

As a non-structural Category N, the underlying structure of the vehicle was not affected. Insurers do not usually apply special terms or load premiums solely on this basis, and Cat N status does not appear on the vehicle registration document (V5C).
