Originally supplied new by Roadfield Motors, Belfast, on 1st September 1990 to Mr C. F. Cairns of Helen’s Bay, the car was subsequently maintained by Maranello Concessionaires and Charles Hurst Ferrari before passing through a small number of careful owners.
In early 1998, the Ferrari was acquired by Mr Robert Gyle, who retained it for approximately 15 years, storing it in a heated garage and covering just 800 miles throughout his ownership. The car was comprehensively recommissioned in September 2011, including a full service and cambelt replacement.
On 21st March 2013, the Testarossa was purchased from Simon Furlonger Specialist Cars by Mr J. Hughes, joining a distinguished private collection that included a Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing and Aston Martin DB6.
On 16th December 2021, Mr Hughes gifted the Testarossa to his son, Mr Richard Hughes, ensuring its continued place within the family.
Throughout the Hughes family’s ownership, the Ferrari has been maintained by renowned specialists Italia Autosport, with an impressive succession of documented annual services and cambelt replacements in 2014, 2018, 2021 and most recently May 2025.
Its latest annual service and MOT were completed by Italia Autosport on 25th June 2026 at 14,589 miles.
Accompanied by its original Ferrari service book and extensive supporting invoices, this outstanding Testarossa offers a rare combination of exceptionally low mileage, matching-numbers originality, excellent provenance and meticulous maintenance.
One of Ferrari’s most recognisable twelve-cylinder grand tourers, the Testarossa remains an enduring symbol of the marque’s celebrated engineering and Pininfarina design.
