Dementia Awareness Course

This Dementia Awareness training course has been designed as an introduction to

dementia so that carers can learn more about the subject and feel more confident about

caring for someone with the condition.

The course covers all aspects of dementia including:

• It explains the symptoms of dementia to look out for.

• Information on how dementia is diagnosed.

• Tips for adaptations you can make to the person’s home.

• Adjustments that be made to lifestyle to help people living with dementia.

The course will be available for both online training and physical classes with practical work

experience Placement at collaborating Nursing Homes. On successful completion of

training, a certificate will be issued by the cooperating academic organisation.
