Thornton Manor Country Estate Wedding Venue

Thornton Manor will always be one of my favourite places in the whole world. James and I got married here, and we’ve been back so many times since for weddings and other events. Every visit brings back the happiest memories, and driving through the gates still gives me that same feeling every single time. The Manor itself is absolutely stunning. It’s full of character and history, the gardens are always immaculate, and wherever you look there’s something beautiful to take in. For me, it’s just one of those places that always feels special. There’s such a lovely atmosphere, everyone is so welcoming, and every time we go back it just feels like coming home. Choosing Thornton Manor for our wedding was one of the easiest decisions we ever made, and if we had our time again, we’d choose it all over again. It really is such a special place, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

We celebrated our wedding at Thornton Manor and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special and perfectly set up for our day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning – full of character, beautifully maintained, and the perfect backdrop for a wedding. The grounds are incredible and made for some amazing photos, while the Great Hall created such an unforgettable atmosphere for the ceremony and reception. The whole day ran so smoothly, and the team were fantastic throughout – attentive, organised, and always on hand to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. We stayed on site the night before, which made everything feel relaxed and stress-free, and allowed us to really enjoy every moment of the day. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed the entire experience. We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to get married – we would highly recommend Thornton Manor to anyone looking for a truly special wedding venue.

We booked accommodation at this venue as we were attending a family wedding at the venue on 10 May 2026 (Shyam and Bhavani's Wedding). The rooms were absolutely fabulous as the views were amazing! The venue itself is located at a nice place with lots of greenery and acres of space for fabulous photo shoot opportunities! All staff were superb especially Molly who was very helpful and Carl who was also helpful. The owner was also on site and was also helpful guiding guests. A must book location for a wedding! My brother proposed to his girlfriend on the evening of the ball and Thornton Manor went above and beyond to make it the most memorable and magical evening. We can’t thank you enough for everything you did!!!! I got married at Thornton Manor 17 years ago and it’s still the most impressive venue I’ve ever been to. It just breathtaking!!! The ball was a great evening and a great way to celebrate the start of Christmas with the family. I can definitely highly recommend!!

Our wedding venue was absolutely beautiful and truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we first visited, we just knew it was the perfect place for us and it ended up being the first and only venue we looked at. Molly, our coordinator, was incredible from start to finish. She made sure the entire day ran so smoothly and was so attentive to every detail. Everything stayed perfectly on schedule, which really helped us relax and enjoy every moment. She even came to see us in the morning to check in, which was such a lovely touch and really added to the excitement of getting ready. We also wanted to thank the entire staff at Thornton Manor as they were all lovely and helpful on the day. The venue itself is stunning. We had our ceremony in the library, followed by our wedding breakfast and evening reception in the music room, and every space looked and felt amazing. It created such a special atmosphere throughout the entire day. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for somewhere truly special for their wedding day!
