Thornton Manor Country Estate Wedding Venue

My wife and I were married at Thornton Manor, and since then we've been back a number of times for weddings and other events. Every visit reminds us why we chose it in the first place. The Manor itself is absolutely stunning. It's full of history and character without ever feeling dated, and the grounds are some of the best you'll find anywhere. No matter the season, it's a beautiful place to spend the day and there always seems to be another great spot for photographs that you hadn't noticed before. What really stands out though is how well everything is run. The staff are always friendly, organised and genuinely want everyone to have a great time. Whether we've been there as the bride and groom or simply as guests, the whole experience has always felt relaxed and seamless. If you're looking for a wedding venue that's both impressive and timeless, I honestly can't recommend Thornton Manor highly enough. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and it's somewhere we'll always enjoy going back to.

We celebrated our wedding at Thornton Manor and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special and perfectly set up for our day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning – full of character, beautifully maintained, and the perfect backdrop for a wedding. The grounds are incredible and made for some amazing photos, while the Great Hall created such an unforgettable atmosphere for the ceremony and reception. The whole day ran so smoothly, and the team were fantastic throughout – attentive, organised, and always on hand to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. We stayed on site the night before, which made everything feel relaxed and stress-free, and allowed us to really enjoy every moment of the day. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed the entire experience. We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to get married – we would highly recommend Thornton Manor to anyone looking for a truly special wedding venue.

It’s full of character and history, the gardens are always immaculate, and wherever you look there’s something beautiful to take in. For me, it’s just one of those places that always feels special. There’s such a lovely atmosphere, everyone is so welcoming, and every time we go back it just feels like coming home. Choosing Thornton Manor for our wedding was one of the easiest decisions we ever made, and if we had our time again, we’d choose it all over again. It really is such a special place, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

We booked accommodation at this venue as we were attending a family wedding at the venue on 10 May 2026 (Shyam and Bhavani's Wedding). The rooms were absolutely fabulous as the views were amazing! The venue itself is located at a nice place with lots of greenery and acres of space for fabulous photo shoot opportunities! All staff were superb especially Molly who was very helpful and Carl who was also helpful. The owner was also on site and was also helpful guiding guests. A must book location for a wedding! We attended a birthday party in the Music Room at Thornton Manor, and everything was absolutely spectacular. The setting is stunning and the whole evening was perfectly organised. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. A special mention to the lovely hosts, Philip and Dianne, who made everyone feel so welcome and created such a wonderful atmosphere. It was a truly memorable celebration, and we can’t wait to visit again.
