Edited review: I feel the need to change by rating from1 to 3 stars. I dont like to damage local businesses and Alex the owner has reached out to try make thing right, which is greatly appreciated. Original post: Terrible experience unfortunately. 7 weeks from start to end. 26/02/26 MOT failed as expected due to a failed powersteering pump. Was quoted £1479.10 but discounted to £1159.30 when I questioned and compared the part online - still over priced but fine. Other parts were quite pricey too but again fine. Agreed to the works to commence 05/03/26. I call various times to check on progress a few days later, a week later but was told its still not done. TWO weeks later I call and finally get told the truth. After fitting the parts and retesting it all of a sudden the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree and they figured its a SQUIB thats failed...didn't fail on the 1st MOT but apparently its still my issue to pay for. £500, again seemed excessive compared to online. Spoke to the area manager about the prices who basically said it is what it is. FOUR weeks pass and I basically say im going to arrange for it to be collected due to loss of confidence if its not done by end of this week. Get a call on Thursday 16th finally saying it done. I collect it on Friday amd pay for the invoice. I get a call Saturday morning from the regional manager basically saying they forgot to add a piece on the invoice - the final piece needed to fix the problem, he wanted me to pay an extra £350. I was never told or agreed about this other piece so refused to pay for "their mistake of not adding it on". Final joke of it all, I inspect the car and see its not been put back properly, some screws in the footwear clearly been forgotten about somewhere. Would definitely NOT recommend. On a good note though, some of the people working there are really lovely.

After forgetting my MOT was due in managed to book in to Tyre king to get sorted. They were very accommodating considering it was a last minute book in and the fact I needed a quick turn around for work. Straight in, test done, straight out. What a perfect service. The Lady at the front greeted me by name, having never met or seen me before which shows the attention to detail to see who was arriving in the car park, lovely little touch. Everyone was friendly, great place to get your car sorted, will definitely be booking in again to sort service/tyres.

I used this garage today for my MOT and honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. As a single woman who knows absolutely nothing about cars, garages can sometimes feel a little daunting, but they made me feel completely comfortable and confident that I was in trustworthy hands. They went above and beyond to help me and provided such a friendly, honest and professional service. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made the whole experience completely stress-free. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you so much!

I've just had my annual MOT at Tyre King and have to give them 5 stars! Easy to book, very friendly and helpful reception staff and the job was done on time! Also, I had good feedback from the guy that serviced it which was very reassuring.

Used this garage for the first time this morning to get my air con re-gased and I must say I’m so impressed from the receptionist to the mechanics everyone is so friendly and professional, lovely waiting area and fast service. Absolutely perfect, will be using again in the future without any hesitation. Thank you guys.
