My experience has been absolutely dreadful, and they still owe me €1,400 for fully delivered work. Work done on time, to spec, and in good faith. Here’s what happened: I completed the agreed work and submitted everything, exactly as requested. They acknowledged receipt of invoices, promised payment by certain dates. As each payment deadline passed, I followed up again. More promises. More new dates. Then the excuses stopped. Communication dropped off completely. Emails go unanswered. Dead silence. I’ve been patient, professional, and persistent. This isn’t just a delay. It’s a breach of trust, a failure to honor contractual obligations, and dishonest business behaviour. I feel used. I feel ignored. And the company’s actions suggest they believe they can walk away without ever paying what’s owed. If you are a freelancer, contractor, translator, or anyone thinking about doing business with them: Be very cautious. Don’t assume they will pay on time, or at all. Don’t let them use “bureaucratic delays” or “internal processing” as cover for doing nothing. I hope I get my money back. I hope they learn to treat people with respect and integrity. But others? Learn from my experience: avoid them!

FREELANCERS BEWARE Working with Mission Connect/ Mission Translate/ Esense and all the other names they go by has been one of the most frustrating professional experiences of my career. I raised an invoice to them in March 2025 for £1,000, for work which was delivered in full and on time. They've acknowledged the invoice, promised a payment timeline, and then quietly let that deadline pass. You need to keep chasing them only to get more timelines of "the date they will let you know when they can let you know". Now they have completely stopped responding to emails. Mission Connect/ Translate treats freelancers as disposable and obligations as optional. If you value your time, your work, and your peace of mind, avoid them entirely.

Great company, if you like not being paid. 3 months late on a payment of mine and 5 months overall from the point I took on the project. The responses always assured me that "payment will be sent next week", and it was always a lie. They even gave me a deadline at some point, which of course they did not meet. This went on for months until I notified them that I would use the UK's Money Claims Service. After 2-3 weeks, they paid.

Updates: -Jan, 2025: I am still waiting for the second batch. It is 8 months passed, and your accounts team repeatedly says they are "working on ensuring the payment is addressed as soon as possible." This is super awkward. I need an immediate action. April, 2024: I successfully received approximately $300 as the first batch. While this was a promising start, I look forward to seeing the next batch deposited into my account soon. Initial Review: "Since starting my work with Mission Translate in April 2023, I have yet to receive any payment for my translation services, totaling $700 across various projects. Repeated inquiries to the accounts department have resulted in no resolution or payment. This situation is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the company's professionalism. I am publicly requesting a response and prompt action from the CEO to resolve this matter and uphold the trust and integrity essential in professional relationships."

Update: I have now received my full payment. I was not asked to update my review in any way, just doing this for your information and to be fair. I got a personal message of apology that shows concern and some effort to tackle the issue of significantly delayed payments and the lack of transparency around it. I wish them good luck on that and, I hope that the improvements will be visible to freelancers soon. Unfortunately, this company is terrible when it comes to paying people for their effort and time. I have received multiple, almost identical replies, in August and September, regarding delayed payments for work I completed in April. The new trendy answer is that "they are working on getting the outstanding payment cleared as quickly as possible but are waiting on our factor pulling through to make this possible." My latest email was completely ignored, while the communication with @accounts, if any, is completely impersonal and slow. This has been the situation all those years that I, occasionally, took over projects for them as a freelancer. How funny that they take the time to pretentiously answer those reviews/emails with "how disheartened" they are about the negative experience and "how deeply" they regret the inconvenience and frustration that caused you", and they had not really taken the time to address the actual problem all those years: failing to pay the people for their work! I do not need more responses like this and I have contacted accounts multiple times ;) TO SUM UP, the time you are going to waste in begging them for your payment, including the stress and frustration, will worth much more than the payment itself. Everyone deserves better, right?
