Hi! I'm Hannah, I am a qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher. This is an extensive course, accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I am also a student midwife working in East Sussex and studying at the University of Brighton. Prior to this, my background was in mental health, specifically working with parents suffering mental health conditions relating to pregnancy and childbirth, including postnatal depression and post traumatic stress disorder.
I am passionate about positive birth and the theory that our bodies were made for the purpose of giving birth. I have seen far too many women and men petrified of the prospect of having a baby. It shouldn't be this way. I am a firm believer that no matter what happens during your birth, there can be positive energy. Knowledge is power.
The mind is powerful. Through providing you with information and tools, you can have a positive birth. Like you probably are, I was always a skeptic about hypnobirthing, how on earth could a bit of breathing change everything? What a lot I had to learn - you can too. I now understand that it is more than breathing, but not too much more that it is achievable. I am excited to support anyone who chooses to attend the courses. I am here for the duration. You can do this!
