Our trained counsellors have experience with working with children and young people. We incorporate play therapy within our sessions as well as working with theories to support our work. We believe that counselling for young people can be a way to receive effective support, to manage and express emotions in a safe environment. We ask for parents/care givers to come along and wait in the building whilst your child is in a session.
When working with Adults we use our skills and knowledge to work in a way that will benefit you individually. We use different theoretical approaches and models such as Psycho dynamic theory, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Transpersonal theory and Cognitive Behavioural theory, with a person centred approach at the core of what we do.
We commit to providing empathy, unconditional positive regard and a non-judgemental relationship to each person. Our counsellors attend professional supervision to ensure that the counselling that we are providing, is effective and supportive. The supervision work is confidential and the client’s identity is not revealed.
We believe that everyone has the right to "self heal" It is our aim to provide the right tools and support for this to take place. Counselling provides you with the opportunity to talk confidentially with a trained Counsellor.
