A Surrey Cars driver today arrived 16 minutes late to pick us up, didn't apologise and then drove recklessly. First, driving way too fast down a blind 20mph lane, then taking our payment whilst driving and not even looking at the road while inputting stuff into the card reader. We genuinely felt worried by his driving in the car today. Additionally I have found out the journey was pre-paid by my colleague and we shouldn't even have been charged. Just shocking.

I’ve lived in Guildford for near 10 years now never had a problem with this company and to be honest they have always been on time and good until now. Got charged £20 to go from town to bellfields not only that I get taxi nearly everyday and the normal charge is £15 (which is the raised price as I used to pay £12) the driver was very rude in the car not friendly at all. For anyone who gets taxi all the time do not go with this company they will rip u off on top of that you get treated poorly for the amount you pay

Brilliant safe regular service for my daughter over two years on a Wednesday morning to school. I highly recommend Surrey Cars and will book them for any future one off occasions. Excellent service!

I use Surrey Cars for business a few times a month. They are usually ok. Today we were picked up (following an pre-paid £90 online booking for 5 passengers with luggage from Canada). As I landed they called to see if Zaphira would work and I said no as it was for 5 adults each with luggage. We had to wait for 15 minutes when we got out and then had to cram into a similar sized car with my 19 yo daughter squashed into the tiny back seat with luggage packed all around her. It was clearly an outsourced driver. I rang to complain and was basically told that I should have booked a bigger car!! What’s the point of asking how many passengers and luggage if they don’t pay any attention and charge their minibus price for a normal saloon car? No apology - was just told that I should have emailed them instead to book the right size car and that it’s my fault! Was still charged £90 even though the car is the normal sized one I usually am charged £65 for. Really disappointed and won’t be using them again or recommending them. What a rip off.

Went on line to get a quote and not having my booking to hand said we were landing into Gatwick at 8.30pm. Got a quote back of £70. I accepted that gave the full details - flight details and correct landing time 6.50pm. Got off the - phone ringing - I was asked what time I was landing - “I already have” to which I am told the driver is on his way. Once having cleared customs the driver does call he tells me that the booking was for 8.30 in the system and he is “on the M25” but he will be another 25 minutes- which was accurate - he arrived at 7.43. In the mean time I speak to the control room asking what compensation I will be receiving. The price I was quoted was £70 - this has now increased to £70+£5 making it £75 and I am offered £5.00 off because it is a “fixed price”. I point out yes it is a fixed price but for a service and that service was nearly 30 mins late. He eventually agreed to a £60 price but fails to tell the poor driver. So overall not a good service will be looking for another taxi company.
