Boxall Taxis

I contacted Boxall Taxis as a last resort after my 100-year-old great uncle’s hospital transport home from Cambridge was cancelled following a five-hour wait. He is housebound and uses a wheelchair, so we urgently needed an accessible vehicle. After calling multiple taxi companies with no success, his care home gave me Boxall’s number. I spoke to AJ who, despite the late hour, immediately arranged an accessible vehicle and sent tracking details as soon as it was dispatched, which was incredibly reassuring. Baz, the driver, was calm, patient and professional. Although we were all understandably stressed after such a long day, he handled everything with kindness and securely fastened my uncle’s wheelchair without any fuss. My uncle was delivered safely back to his care home, and the whole experience was handled with real care and efficiency. Boxall Taxis were an absolute lifeline that evening. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and highly recommend their accessible service.

I use the company twice daily through Access to Work. I find them to be generally quite helpful and flexible in meeting my needs. I have a main driver ,Bas, who I find to be very punctual and reliable, friendly and very professional. He is very understanding of my disability, and I feel safe.

Sarah the dispatcher was very kind sending me a taxi quickly ( in peak hour) when my cat needed rushing to the vet. The driver was also incredibly kind. I very much appreciated the compassion and help when I was so distressed.

Booked taxi for airport transfers for two separate journeys back and forth. Pre-booked via app was seamless. Pick up and drop off was on time and seamless. Definitely will recommend.

I booked a taxi and was sent a text with a link to track my driver. Five minutes before it was due, the website said it was 10 minutes away. Fair enough, it was a Saturday evening. Five minutes later and it was now 15 minutes away and heading in the opposite direction! I phoned the dispatcher again, and the automated message said it was 17 minutes away. The dispatcher said he'd send a closer taxi and it eventually arrived 20 minutes after the time I had booked for. I won't be using them again. What a shame Castle Taxis are now part of Boxalls as I won't use them now either.
