Posting under anonymous account! I had a piercing done here recently. I first of all noticed that he put gloves on while preparing the clamp, needle etc. With the same gloves on, he started going through the draws with his jewellery in. After doing so, he then pierced me with the same gloves he was wearing when he was going through the draws and also prepping the equipment. I work in healthcare so I understand that importance of wearing gloves, but if you are going through draws wearing gloves then wearing the same pair when preforming the piercing, that’s not good! While I was sat back and he was about to preform the piercing, he placed the needle on my coat so he could check the clamp was in the correct place. After the piercing was done, i noticed it was ever so slightly wonky(which is ok because I understand it could be difficult to get it dead straight.) But ultimately, when I go home, I took the piercing out as I wasn’t overall happy with it. The piercing was done quick, but he spent I’d say about 30mins in total talking about different off topic subjects. I understand small talk, but this was more than small talk. I felt uncomfortable with some of the questions I was being asked. I don’t mind but I am here to get my piercing, I am anxious and just want to be in and out. Some people might find comfort in having in-depth conversations about different topics, but me?, not so much. I would say my overall experience was not good and i wouldn’t return back anytime soon Having read previous reviews on here, many people have raised the whole gloves issue, which when the studio reply’s to reviews, they do not acknowledge this complaint.

Rob is very knowledgeable and professional. He's done several piercings and jewellery changes for me over the last year and have been very happy with all. I've planned out my next few visits after Rob very kindly showed me different options and how they would look, which I really appreciated. Looking forward to my next visit already!

After getting my tongue pierced twice from a different piercer and it being done wonky both times I got in touch with Rob who reassured me he'd be able to get the job done properly. He's a man of his word, extremely friendly, honest and knowledgeable. Strongly recommend! , will be back in the near future. Thank you Rob

One star is too high! If you are a young female.. stay away! I will never forget when i got a piercing here age 17. Rob was very inappropriate. He made multiple sexual jokes and comments about me. I felt very uncomfortable and have been warning other young girls about his gross behaviour ever since. I’m now 33 and still disgusted.

Been coming to studio 9 and having piercings from from Rob for about 15 years. I am a complete wimp but Rob always puts me at ease. I love the way I go in with an idea and Rob finds the perfect piercing to fit my vision. I trust him so much so that my teenage daughter has had both her daiths pierced by him too. I would rather pay more and have the peace of mind that I know it’s been done correctly to give the best chance of healing. Rob has always been great at giving advice and checking the healing process of my piercings.x
