The highlight of this place isn’t the food—it’s the people. The staff are genuinely some of the friendliest and most welcoming I’ve come across. They make you feel like you’re the only customer in the restaurant, and their kindness really stands out. The restaurant is also spotless, which I really appreciated. Everything feels clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The food wasn’t quite what I was expecting, so it wasn’t the highlight of my visit. That said, the excellent service and warm atmosphere made the experience enjoyable overall, and I’d happily come back because of how well I was treated.

Personalised Bento Box (£17.99) Teriyaki Chicken, Tofu, Rice, Salad & Miso Soup – a generous, well-balanced meal with plenty of flavour. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. 🍜 Chick’N’Beef Yaki Udon (£17.99) A hearty plate of stir-fried udon packed with tender chicken, beef, and savoury Japanese flavours. Comfort food at its best! 🍫 NEW! Brownie (£8.99) A rich, indulgent dessert that was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. 🥤 One of the highlights was definitely the layered drinks! Not only did they look beautiful, but they were incredibly refreshing and paired perfectly with the food. I highly recommend ordering one alongside your meal.

An all Halal Japanese place that has a variety of food on their menu. We got 3 different dishes and they were all very filling with large portions, good quality and really nice. Nora, the person who was taking care of us was really sweet, friendly, was able to explain what was in our dishes, how to make choices, and helped me make adjustments for my allergies. Will definitely go back again. Want to try more things. Also I got to fulfill my wish to have Halal Okonomiyaki! I will definitely recommend!

Absolute Gem on Finchley Road!Fresh, fast, and unbelievably delicious! If you are craving proper, flavorful Japanese street food, Yaki Ya! is the place to be. The fact that the entire menu is 100% Halal with zero compromises on traditional flavor is a game-changer. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and it was a masterpiece—the panko crust was incredibly crispy, and the curry sauce was rich, creamy, and packed with umami. Huge shoutout to the front-of-house team at Yaki Ya! Every single staff member we interacted with was smiling and genuinely lovely. Fast service, immaculate vibes, and a brilliant team. Highly recommend!

Incredible spot! It was just what we needed after a long, scorching day.. the portions were huge but we couldn't leave a bite behind - it was simply delicious! The staff were so friendly that we wanted to give them candy 😅 they'd even say hello when we passed by on other days! Loved it and totally recommend it🤙🏻
