The highlight of this place isn’t the food—it’s the people. The staff are genuinely some of the friendliest and most welcoming I’ve come across. They make you feel like you’re the only customer in the restaurant, and their kindness really stands out. The restaurant is also spotless, which I really appreciated. Everything feels clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The food wasn’t quite what I was expecting, so it wasn’t the highlight of my visit. That said, the excellent service and warm atmosphere made the experience enjoyable overall, and I’d happily come back because of how well I was treated.

Absolute Gem on Finchley Road!Fresh, fast, and unbelievably delicious! If you are craving proper, flavorful Japanese street food, Yaki Ya! is the place to be. The fact that the entire menu is 100% Halal with zero compromises on traditional flavor is a game-changer. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and it was a masterpiece—the panko crust was incredibly crispy, and the curry sauce was rich, creamy, and packed with umami. Huge shoutout to the front-of-house team at Yaki Ya! Every single staff member we interacted with was smiling and genuinely lovely. Fast service, immaculate vibes, and a brilliant team. Highly recommend!

It's extremely hard to find good halal japanese food in London, but Yaki Ya is exactly that! I loved the food here!! The staff are also the absolute sweetest. I will definitely be coming back ❤️

Incredible spot! It was just what we needed after a long, scorching day.. the portions were huge but we couldn't leave a bite behind - it was simply delicious! The staff were so friendly that we wanted to give them candy 😅 they'd even say hello when we passed by on other days! Loved it and totally recommend it🤙🏻

We ordered chicken teriyaki, chicken ramen, okonomiyaki, spicy korean chicken and chocolate mochi. All tasted amazing. Just to be cautious that the portion is huge. Our order was a bit too much for a couple and a daughter. The service was amazing, everybody was very cheerful and served with smiles. We had to take away some of the leftovers and they provide a proper container and a paper bag to carry. Amazing services!
