Hidden Steakhouse

Our visit to Hidden Steakhouse was, once again, an absolute delight. We first discovered this wonderful restaurant last year, and returning today felt like coming back to something truly special. I’m happy to say that it exceeded our expectations all over again. We started with the steak tartare, which was beautifully prepared—fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavour. For the main course, we enjoyed the lamb rump, cooked to perfection: tender, juicy, and rich in taste. To finish, the chocolate mousse was simply divine—smooth, indulgent, and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. What truly elevates the experience here, however, is the exceptional staff. Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from the moment we walked in. A special mention goes to a very kind and remarkably young waiter who has only been working there for about a month and a half. Despite his natural shyness, he did an outstanding job—attentive, polite, and genuinely caring. We have no doubt he has a bright future ahead of him in hospitality. Hidden Steakhouse has once again left a lasting impression on us, and we are already looking forward to returning for a third visit. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Oban!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic meal at Hidden Steakhouse. The food was absolutely delicious, with the quality of the ingredients shining through in every dish. The prices are on the higher side, but given the quality of the food, they felt completely reasonable and represented good value for the experience. The ribeye steak was outstanding—cooked perfectly and packed with flavour. A special mention also goes to the mashed potatoes, which were excellent. If it’s available, definitely upgrade to the horseradish mash; it was the perfect accompaniment to the steak. A great choice for anyone looking for high-quality steak and a memorable meal. We’d happily return.

We had an absolutely delicious meal at the Hidden Steakhouse. Everything was fresh & cooked extremely well. The service was amazing, special mention to Chloe who was so lovely & made sure we were well taken care of. Very reasonably priced & it is definitely our new favourite restaurants in Oban. If you are looking for somewhere nice, I would highly recommend. We will certainly be back, thank you for a lovely meal!

Food was really good and my husband enjoyed the quality of his meat. The place is beautiful and has an ambiance with elegant lights and decoration. However I didn’t liked that they had their service on the bill and 10% service. They said than we can remove it but it’s not elegant at all and it’s too much for this kind of restaurant. So they should stop that !

Visited this restaurant last night and couldn't have been happier with the service. Got the early bird menu and it was great value for money. The chocolate mousse dessert was a particular highlight. The staff could not have been more accommodating, very attentive and made this a wonderful visit. I will definitely be back when I next visit Oban.
