Hidden Steakhouse

Our visit to Hidden Steakhouse was, once again, an absolute delight. We first discovered this wonderful restaurant last year, and returning today felt like coming back to something truly special. I’m happy to say that it exceeded our expectations all over again. We started with the steak tartare, which was beautifully prepared—fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavour. For the main course, we enjoyed the lamb rump, cooked to perfection: tender, juicy, and rich in taste. To finish, the chocolate mousse was simply divine—smooth, indulgent, and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. What truly elevates the experience here, however, is the exceptional staff. Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from the moment we walked in. A special mention goes to a very kind and remarkably young waiter who has only been working there for about a month and a half. Despite his natural shyness, he did an outstanding job—attentive, polite, and genuinely caring. We have no doubt he has a bright future ahead of him in hospitality. Hidden Steakhouse has once again left a lasting impression on us, and we are already looking forward to returning for a third visit. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Oban!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic meal at Hidden Steakhouse. The food was absolutely delicious, with the quality of the ingredients shining through in every dish. The prices are on the higher side, but given the quality of the food, they felt completely reasonable and represented good value for the experience. The ribeye steak was outstanding—cooked perfectly and packed with flavour. A special mention also goes to the mashed potatoes, which were excellent. If it’s available, definitely upgrade to the horseradish mash; it was the perfect accompaniment to the steak. A great choice for anyone looking for high-quality steak and a memorable meal. We’d happily return.

We had an absolutely delicious meal at the Hidden Steakhouse. Everything was fresh & cooked extremely well. The service was amazing, special mention to Chloe who was so lovely & made sure we were well taken care of. Very reasonably priced & it is definitely our new favourite restaurants in Oban. If you are looking for somewhere nice, I would highly recommend. We will certainly be back, thank you for a lovely meal!

Excellent from start to finish. Service from staff perfect balance of attentiveness. Steaks, chips & vegetables slightly charred flavour completely indulgent. Wine was a Viña Cobos Felino Malbec which was dangerously drinkable, bought a case already thanks Hidden Steakhouse we'll definitely be back for seconds! Jazz music ambience was at perfect background volume as I have sensitive hearing so didn't require turning down at all...zen.

I can say without a doubt that this was the best food I have eaten in my entire life. The steak was cooked perfectly and I got the black garlic sauce with was delicious. He got the peppercorn which was thicker and had such a good flavor. We have been getting sticky toffee pudding everywhere that we go and this was far above all the rest! The servers all were so quick and attentive. I did not bring any nice clothes on my holiday, but no one seemed to mind how anyone was dressed.
