Straikes Vinyl Records

I bought an LP from Straikes online and paid by PayPal. I made the usual payment under Goods and Services as you would expect. Out of the blue I get a message from Steve saying he wouldn't accept the payment and he had refunded me. He would only accept a friends and family payment - highly unusual for a business. I offered to pay a small additional amount so he would get the same amount as friends and family, and I would have the piece of mind of buyers insurance, but he wouldn't move on this and just seemed to be purposely awkward. What's made the matter worse is that he didn't even give me an immediate refund so I will have to wait 5 working days for it to clear. Not a very nice experience and one that should have been a straightforward transaction.

If you have any vinyl records you want to sell or looking to buy any look no further, this is the best shop i have been in and Steve was super professional and really helpful. Highly recommended.

Bought an LP from Steve at Straikes online. Paid by PayPal under Goods and Services and thought Id bought the LP. I was then messaged by Steve and told that he had refunded me and that he wouldn't accept the payment the conventional way, and would only accept the payment via friends and family. I offered to pay the small additional fee of £1.75 amount for insurance so Straikes would have got the same amount as a Friend's and Family payment. Quite a reasonable request but I was just ignored, and told that he would refund me again if I did this. What made it worse is that he didn't even do an immediate refund so I had to wait 5 working days for the money to go back into my bank account. What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into a nightmare because of the sellers apparent awkwardness to do the deal off the books.

Purchased from this store for the first time today. Excellent quality vinyl - very little wear and a very fair price. Just enjoying The Best of the Doors and some Simple Minds. I will be back.
