I visited two days ago, having never been before. I'd already decided to go for a pick your own Nordman Fir before I'd even arrived. Wow - what a selection! Incredible. Thousands of trees of many varieties. (Price list in my pics).
BRING WELLIES!! Or waterproof boots with a grip. It was extremely muddy when I went, especially when you have to carry your tree back. To get to the trees, you walk through a lovely fairylight lit woodland... it is quite far if walking is challenging for you, but it is completely worth it.
Before you go to cut your own, there's a selection of saws which you can just help yourself to. Also, find the colour coded pole - this is for pricing your tree as you pay per foot. It's handy to know in advance just so you aren't surprised. Pricing was fair, too. And it's the joy of choosing and sawing off your own .
The little Christmas shop was open, which was nice. And there were goats, sheep, and a reindeer to go and see. More available during the weekends, cafe, mulled wine, and Santa.
Definitely recommend. Enjoy, make an afternoon of it!
