Easily one of the best high end places to eat in Essex. The dining room is open and understated, with an inviting atmosphere. We had the midweek set menu at £29.50 for two courses which is excellent value. All the food was exceptional, with a call out to the bass which cooked to perfection balancing crispy and juicy. Staff are excellent; knowledgeable and present but not interfering. A thoroughly pleasant experience and I can't wait to go back.

Had an amazing meal on Saturday night. We were celebrating our anniversary and blown away with the service from the staff. They were so professional and friendly and made the whole experience so nice. Every course was perfectly cooked and the champagne chilled to perfection. I would highly recommend The Magic Mushroom for that special meal.

Sunday lunch with friends and it was outstanding. Cheese & onion soup was delicious. Nut roast, gorgeous. Veg was cooked to perfection. The service was 5 star. We were table 22 on Sunday 15/2/26. Female server was super helpful & the new bloke who I think said his name was Joel was also great.

A lovely restaurant just outside Billericay. Had the set lunch menu which was fantastic value for money for high quality food. The restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere due to it being quite quiet. The service friendly, attentive and not too much. Would definitely recommend to others.
