Horrible experience. For my studies, I decided to book a room through them. When I arrived at the location after traveling into the country from abroad, the receptionist had not been informed of my arrival and there were no keys for my room. When the receptionist contacted the local manager, he too had not been informed by Uninist. Uninist was not reachable and there was no emergency contact available. I was told that this is not the first time this has happened.
After over two hours of confusion, having to prove my contract and provide proof of payment to Uninist to the staff at the residence (not employed by Uninist), I was given a smelly room for the night and was told to come to the reception again the next morning in order to receive my actual room.
When I came to the reception the next day, it turned out that there were no free rooms and as Uninist had overbooked the rooms they had available at this residence. However, I was finally given a room to stay in as the local residence staff are very kind.
One random day less than a month later, I then received a text messages from Uninist saying that I would need to switch rooms once again. When I then asked for their manager's contact details and an offer of compensation, I received no reply for nine days. There was absolutely no contact until I finally received a reply on a normal working day stating the meager compensation. That same day, around noon, I was also told that "Okay stay back in the same room we will not be able to help if the room keys are deactivated". I had not been told until when I would need to move, which room I should move to or when the keys would be deactivated, so I decided to call Uninist. Luckily, someone picked up. I was then informed that I would have to move that same day. As it was a normal working day, I told them that this is not possible. We finally agreed that this is unreasonable and I was given about 2 days more time. I asked them to send me an email about this and the meager compensation they were offering that same day and still have not received it.
I went to the residence reception when I returned from work in the late evening to ask for the keys to the new room to inspect it. It was dirty and the cleaning lady will not be available to clean it until the day after the day I should move by. I once again called Uninist the following morning and received no reply. The residence staff did not know about any keys being deactivated, so I also do not know until when I will be able to access my current room.
Avoid!
