Excellent experience all round. I studied Italian Beginners - ie from zero knowledge. The teacher was excellent, made a lovely atmosphere in the classroom - to learn as well as keeping it fun. She was very good with flexibility - when I was unable to attend a lesson she sent me the materials and the homework so I didn't fall behind. After ten weeks I feel it has made a great difference to my confidence in Italian - to deal with basic situations as well as inspiring me to sign up for the next course. Would recommend.

I am totally amazed by my lessons and how much I learn every week. Everyone is lovely and very supportive, the teacher is very clear, kind and knowledgeable. Going to the lessons gives me lots of confidence to use the language and really motivates me to keep learning. If you want to learn a language with a real teacher in a supportive environment you should definitely choose Cactus Language.

I took Turkish intermediate 1 class this term with Berna and I really enjoyed it. She is a fantastic teacher; kind, fun and extremely understanding. Lessons were always well thought out and interesting. She did a particularly great job at accounting for different students at different lessons. We worked on listening, reading, speaking and writing activities every lesson. Çok teşekkür ederim Berna!

I’ve just completed the beginners class of Spanish, and I feel I have learnt so much. Heidy has been a fantastic teacher - always supportive and encouraging, and speaks to us mainly in Spanish so it is an immersive experience. Heidy is very patient with us all, and has a great teaching style!

I confess I only went to 2 German classes out of 8 classes for beginners; but I got a flavour for Cactus and how they operate. The Good... Firstly, the course book selection was excellent (Menschen). Second, the people in my class were enthusiastic and a lovely team to learn with. Third, a good mix of verbal practice was blended in for group learning. The Bad... My teacher, bless him, was quite dull. While a legitimate student should not let this stand in their way, it did influence my decision not to go back. He was Hungarian, which I did not mind personally, though some may find it unfair as "native teachers" are frequently promoted by Cactus. The speed of the class was quite fast paced for me personally, I was rusty on studying in a school environment and pressed for time, so the homework was quite overwhelming for me after my first two hour lesson. From this experience I learned that group classes in English speaking country once a week don't personally work for me. I would imagine my fellow classmates with German partners at home to assist in learning had a slightly better time of completing the course successfully.
