Scottish Guided Tours

We had an amazing time and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! Scotland is absolutely beautiful and Alan our guidr made the trip even more memorable! You can tell he's incredibly knowledgeable about pretty much everything from local history and politics, to nature, folklore, and myths. Every conversation was interesting and he has a razor-sharp wit that kept us laughing throughout the trip. The car was very comfortable and the driving was excellent. We were also impressed by how seamless everything was from start to finish. The company clearly has everything down to a science. They even did all our dinner reservations, and their restaurant recommendations were spot on! If you're thinking about booking with them, do it. We came away with such wonderful memories. We're absolutely keen on going back to Scotland in the future, and we'll definitely book with them again on our next trip to Scotland.

Review is long overdue, my apologies! Scotland was so magical to us and Sandy and Alan made it even more magical! We did 3 tours with Scottish Guided Tours and every tour was phenomenal! Customer service from emails to itineraries to customization were impeccable from start to finish! We started with Alan and he took us and educated us on our private St. Andrews Day Tour with Lindores Abbey Distillery (from Edinburgh). Full day included Fife Fishing Villages, St Andrews Old Town, The Old St Andrews Course & Bridge, St. Andrews Cemetery & University, Lindores Distillery (beautiful distillery with some fantastic Lowland Scotch Whiskies to sip on) and Forth Rail Bridge. Alan customized our tour and went above and beyond taking us to see some stunning places and making sure I got to see sheep and hairy coos (so cute)! Our 2nd tour was Private Inverness Highland Exploration Tour with Sandy! We watched Outlander (loved), so we knew the background of this tour and Sandy filled us in with his expertise. Tour included Clava Cairns (we pretended to time travel), Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle, Loch Ness Dore Village with views of Urquhart Castle. Sandy was a hoot and loved to dress the part of the tours! He was full of stories and more stories and made our tours so fun and personable! Our 3rd tour was with Sandy again and this tour is not to be missed-Private Isle of Skye day tour! There are no words to describe the beauty of each place we saw which included, Neist Point, Glen Shiel, Eilean Donan Castle (view), Culnacnoc, Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, The Quiraing, Black Cuillin Mountains. It concluded with Sandy finding us stags grazing at sunset (gorgeous)! Scotland will forever have my heart, and I can't thank Scottish Guided Tours, Alan and Sandy enough! We created some special memories with them! Cheers!

My mom, aunt, and myself went on a 5 day private tour organised by Niall and his team at Scottish Guided Tours and we can't be happier with our holiday! Heather, our driver + guide, is a gem and really knowledgeable. She has a gift for storytelling and a way about her that makes guiding looks so easy and a joy (even though I'm pretty sure it's really hard work), as she seems to genuinely love guiding and exploring along with us. My mom and aunt were both really pleased with all the pictures we collected from all the great photo stops :D From the first query, Niall, Kylie, and Nikki have been very responsive and Niall even took the time to have a video call with me to understand what I'm looking for -- it's this service with a heart that sets the company apart from all the others for me. The vehicle we traveled in was impeccable, making our journey throughout really comfortable, especially with Heather's great driving skills. Thank you for making this an unforgettable trip for us :) we hope to be back again soon

We booked a 3-days tour with Scottish Guided Tours for our family, and everything was perfect. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience. Michael showed us magical and beautiful places and shared many anecdotes about Scottish history. He was very attentive and perfectly adapted to the group. The vehicle was very comfortable, and we were able to enjoy the scenery without having to worry about driving. In 3 days, we were able to discover a very wide variety of landscapes and regions of Scotland. In short, a wonderful experience, with sensational discoveries that we recommend without hesitation!

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time with Niall in the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. The care taken to customize the itinerary based on the various needs and interest of our diverse group (we had a set of grandparents, two sets of parents, a teenager and a 7 year old in our party) was phenomenal. We were able to cover and experience an amazing amount at a comfortable and unhurried pace despite having bad weather conditions on one of the days - and he really ensured everyone was able to stay engaged and interested including for folks for whom this was not a first visit. Niall is humorous, warm and personable and extremely knowledgeable. He had entertaining stories which really brought to life and color the beautiful landscape and richness of the country. Words cannot describe how incredible our trip was made by working with Scottish Guided Tours. We will be using the team at Scottish Guided Tours again on another adventure when visiting Scotland for sure! Cannot recommend them enough!
