I wrote the following 5*review three months ago:
As we were having our flat completely redecorated, some difficult furniture had to be taken out and stored for a few days before being returned and reinstated. The two young men who did this came at exactly the times agreed, did everything with accustomed professionalism and charm. This was perfect service. Not only will we use them again when the need arises, but will be recommending to everyone we know!
This is what I had to write today - very sadly:
About three months ago, as your office is around the corner, we booked you to move a large wardrobe and store it for ten days while the flat was being decorated. The men who came on removal and return could not have been more helpful, friendly, respectful. The perfect experience, about which I wrote glowing reviews on any platform I could.
We are now so very upset, so really, really angry at the way we have been treated. We ordered a part load pick up from Hendon to Worthing for yesterday (1st July) for which of course all details were given, address, contact numbers and so forth.
I spoke to one of your colleagues (Jack?) this week just to get a broad indication of the time the pickup might be and was told early afternoon, and that my wife would be called when they were 30 minutes away.
Not only did no-one turn up, no contact of any kind was made. I called your office several times only to get a voice mail. On one occasion I was answered by a human who said he saw the booking, would check what had happened and update us. Nothing.
None of my messages today have been responded to.
My wife had to book a hotel for the night, book a very expensive removal at short notice as she had to vacate her late mother’s flat by the end of the week, all because of your total lack of professionalism, to say nothing of simple consideration.
I will now have to update my reviews to reflect this astonishing failure to turn up for a job that was booked, and your failure to communicate in any way. Shame on you and your unprofessional conduct.
All this could have been resolved with a simple phone call.
