Poor quality. Bought a scalloped jute lampshade. It looked fine when it arrived but as the months have rolled on, the glue from the trim had turned orange and its visible all around the shade, including in the front of the trim itself! It looks shocking.
After posting my review, the company responded publicly within hours, asking me to get in touch so they could “resolve the issue” — and suggesting, unhelpfully, that the discolouration might be due to the wrong lightbulb. (It wasn’t. The correct bulb was used, and the shade is nowhere near direct sunlight.)
I followed their instructions and emailed the address provided. Days later, I’ve had no response. Nothing. Radio silence.
This is a textbook example of a company that wants to appear attentive to customer issues without actually doing the work. The polished public response is just that — performance. Behind the scenes, they do absolutely nothing.
It’s disingenuous and deeply frustrating. If Casa Josephine has no intention of resolving issues, they shouldn’t pretend otherwise.
They’re quick to take your money, but if something goes wrong, don’t expect accountability.
