When I first arrived, I thought the parking would be free and I realised I need to pay for it. It's £5 per day so I paid for it. The hotel itself was really nice, alongside with bar and restaurant. The room was spotless, spacious and lovely. I came down for dinner and it was very nice. The service was very friendly and pleasant. In the morning, I had a very nice breakfast and Horman was lovely too. He was friendly and made sure everything was OK. I hope to visit again and would recommend it to anyone. Just be mindful about the parking that is not free.

We recently had a family meal at Oakwood Hotel and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. The food was absolutely amazing, every meal was cooked perfectly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the whole visit, which made the experience even better.
The entire atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and we all left saying how fabulous the evening had been. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend Oakwood Hotel to anyone looking for great food and wonderful service!

Went for a weekend away. Lovely staff and very welcoming. The rooms are very clean and good value for money, although the decor slightly outdated. It's quiet and had everything you need for a short break away where you are using it as a base and going into the city centre. Bus stop 2 mins walk away with parking on site which is secure and large. Great facilities on site with options of restaurant and bar. Thank you to the staff at Oakwood for a lovely stay.

I stayed last minute here due to it being a long day and poor weather. The hotel was perfectly positioned for easy access to the M5. The hotel has seen better days as the tired and worn decor and furnishings clearly testified to. My room was big but the bathroom had seen better days and had a feisty smell about it. To be fair the hotel is building works, so who knows what it will look like in the future. Regardless of this, I had a fantastic night's sleep as the place was silent and the room was pitch dark. A stand out was the staff, who were excellent. The receptionist gave me as good a welcome as I have ever had. She was so warm and friendly and a credit to the place. The barmaid again was equally friendly and helpful. She didn't even mock me for being an old fart, who couldnt work the remote. Instead she disarmed me off it and sorted the TV out. For £41 a night you cant go wrong.

Had a family birthday party today , it was very well done, the table was nicely laid , good choice on the menu and when the food was served , I had the Sunday roast turkey it was one of the best roast dinners I've had followed by a tasty chocolate caramel tart. 20 people in our party and everyone was well satisfied. Brilliant service, well done to all the staff, I will certainly go there again.
