I started working in the horticulture industry full time in 1994 following a full time one year horticulture and design course. My business was originally design and build only, and included project and budget management. Achieved full registered membership of the professional body 'The Society of Garden Designers', which involved a highly detailed adjudication process delving into one's entire business. After 17 years, moved into pure gardening, to fill a much needed gap of expertise. With my background, I was also able to advise on everything from boundary issues, to drainage issues. This was accompanied by consistent continuing professional development covering more advanced technical drawing to photography, to division of space and specialist planting training, eg plant combinations and rose use and care. The latter via the wonderful David Austin Roses. Please contact me for advices, I love to help and if I cannot, I usually know someone who can. I've worked for the Heritage consultants doing a National Trust survey, retired clients who can no longer manage the care, companies who run condominiums, and schools who want a special child safe, useable commemorative garden.
