I just want to say how I’m absolutely shocked how DWA gets any good reviews. The garage seemed okay at first, I didn’t have a say where my car was getting fixed as it was done through big motoring world.
The garage had my car for 3 and a half weeks for a new clutch, the car was recovered to the garage in pristine condition. A couple of days later we got a call saying they have taken the car for multiple long drives and couldn’t find a problem with a completely broken clutch? First red flag, we told them that they need to look again as we found it concerning that the broken clutch couldn’t be identified straight away.
During a phone call, the office lady told us they had not been able to tell us the real issue earlier due to their AA contract. I have evidence of this conversation and kept records of all communications and photos related to this situation. A couple of days later we was informed that the car in fact needed a new clutch.
Fast forwarding to 3 and a half weeks, I collected the car. First of all the other cars were parked so close together, some touching bumper to bumper. I told the mechanics I’m here to collect my car they gave me the keys and said “thanks bye”, which I said no I need to speak to someone about my car?
The garage were so keen to get me out of the way, I went to speak to the office and asked questions such as guarantee etc. I left, on my drive home I noticed a line at the very bottom of the windscreen which I didn’t know what it was until I got home and checked, it was huge stone chip that has cracked my whole windscreen.
Bearing in mind my car had no damage to it whatsoever when it was delivered to the garage. My car has also gained over 70 miles on the clock, which seemed excessive even allowing for testing.
I sent the garage a message when I got home and sent photos, I got a reply the next day to photos that showed the damage but the garage was very hesitant to provide date stamps. It’s funny some photos had a mark on the windscreen but the walk around video does not show any damage…
I had a long conversation with the garage and they were unbelievably rude and unprofessional and was getting extremely argumentative.
We spoke to the garage and the office lady’s attitude had completely changed, the rudeness on the phone was shocking, blaming me for doing something and blaming me for not checking the car before leaving! Furthermore, they are refusing to give me any proof of repair for my car, not even a list of parts or a diagnostics.
This leaves me with zero trust in the diagnostics and repair carried out by DWA.
I would have preferred to resolve this directly with the garage, but unfortunately they have now refused to discuss the matter any further.
If the garage would like to resolve the issue, I would be happy to update the review.
