Prospect Estate & Letting Agents Farnborough

Photos show state of flat and in particular the washing machine on move in day. I viewed/rented the flat through Prospect Farnborough. I tried to see the flat again before moving in day but the agent did not reply to my emails. Prospect Farnborough just referred me to the landlord, saying they managed the flat. I did so, but thanks to the agency’s lack of checking the state of the flat, the relationship with the landlord got off on the wrong foot and caused a lot of stress during the tenancy. Plus, I was given only a six month assured short hold tenancy but Prospect Farnborough assured me it would be renewed. It wasn’t. Four months into my tenancy the landlords served me with a Section 21 notice to leave. Prospect Farnborough also forced/threatened me to hold viewings when I was unwell with Covid symptoms. Typical letting agency - untrustworthy, disreputable and unprincipled.

Having got valuations from three estate agents, I was impressed by Darren from Prospect: confident, but no "hard sell", a thoroughly nice person. As it turned out, I made the right choice. Only one week after the property was advertised by Prospect, I had two good offers, one of which I accepted. From then on, I was kept regularly informed of the sale process, and everything went smoothly. This was expecially important for me, as I don't live in the UK. Exceptional Service from Prospect Estate Agents! This is the second time my wife and I have used Prospect Estate Agents, and once again, they have delivered outstanding service. Terrible experience. Offer agreed subject to conditions that were not met - despite multiple reminders and chasing our end. Our initial offer was increased based upon this work being done. We were also urged to bring our start date of tenancy forward by a week with assurances that the work would be completed on time. I had to walk the property and produce a schedule of works for the landlord / prospect to complete, which I had to continually chase, constantly being assured the property would be ready. Upon move in many things not working, lots missed on inventory and the electrical safety certificate must have come free with a box of cornflakes. When issues reported - several of which were made over a month before move in, I was then asked to fill in a form on a third party app despite raising these issues multiple times and wasting my time visiting the property before move in.
